The trail curls through the Great Otway National Park, winding as do the trees. Walking ahead, my friend has disappeared in the forest. A teal jacket amongst lime green leaves. Has my walking pace slowed or hers quickened? Suddenly alone, surrounded by trees. Suddenly silent, the ocean quietened by our direction away from the wind. Walking in nature so often surprises us with twists and turns. As does life, I suppose. The sand is soft underfoot. Littered with fallen leaves, the path is easy to follow. A joy, so many delights.
