Walking where nocturnal animals would eat your food

Walking with a pack to stay overnight in any campground you may meet strangers and share spaces with other visitors. In Australia those visitors are frequently furry animals that visit at night. Some visit abandoned packs in daylight too. They know what we carry. Many know how to unzip packs. Plenty of signs explain why not to feed the animals, why not to leave your pack unattended, why not to welcome animals, but these messages aren’t always heeded.

I wonder if this beautiful wallaby had a stomachache the following day, or gas.
